Phishing
Phishing is a common way for criminals to steal data through emails and messages. For example, emails from fraudsters posing as banks, mobile operators, etc.
The main goal is to trick you into entering your password or card details into a fake form.
Fraudsters can send:
- Fake emails with the Zigass logo and an address similar to the Zigass address (for example, support@zigass.com).
- Messages similar to notifications from a bank about an order on Zigass, or order status notifications.
- Fake messages or emails that seem to be sent by delivery companies that transport your orders to you. They often ask to pay some fees related to your package.
Zigas never sends messages via Viber, Telegram, WhatsApp or any other messengers.
What should I do if I receive a phishing message?
Do not click on any links in it under any circumstances — fraudsters use them to specifically obtain personal data.
When in doubt, you can send any suspicious messages you may have received to our Zigass support team by emailing support@Zigass.com, or by selecting “Support team chat” in your profile on the app.
What if a message looks real?
Message us about it anyway. Just to be sure.
On a different note, we want to highlight that there are some websites that you may receive a message or email requesting you to pay a fee to resume delivery. These are scammers — you don’t need to pay anything if your package doesn’t exceed the limits set by customs. Send these messages directly to your spam folder.
Additionally, a real message about a required customs duty payment can only come from customs or the national post. This will show up when you track your package on the official website of the post office.
