Card safety & security
Many websites and online shops require personal data. For example:
- when placing an order, you need to specify your full name and address
- when subscribing, you need to share your email, and
- when paying for an order or service, you need to enter your bank card details.
Intruders can use various methods and techniques to obtain this information.
Ironically, the easiest way is through mobile bank apps.
For example, many bank apps have a service that allows you to transfer money via phone number. By typing in your number, fraudsters can see:
- The first 6 and last 4 digits of your card number.
- Your first name, middle name and the first letter of your last name.
And since the bank number is encrypted in the first 6 digits of the card number, intruders will know your bank as well.
Please do not share your personal information with anyone, such as:
- Your email or personal account password
- Full card number, PIN code or the CVV/CVC number (3-4 digits on the back of your bank or credit card), or the expiration date.
Neither banks nor our Zigass team will ever ask you for these details.
The only thing Zigass support may need when resolving payment issues is your card mask, i.e. the first 6 and last 4 digits of its number.
